I was out a few nights ago and we walked past somebody in a strange period costume and I heard a friend say “WTF”. What have we come to when people say txt spk abbreviations and acronyms out loud!?

I know somebody else who on finding something funny will often be heard saying “LOL” - seriously WTF!?
