231 - Using an @ symbol instead of an a
Yes the @ symbol used be a cool alternative to an a, and it may be vaguely acceptable still if you’re a technology company on the web. But otherwise no! It’s a looks like a cheesy nineties attempt to add interest to a logo or brand name. Plus it’sĀ pronouncedĀ as ‘at’ so technically it should replace an ‘a’ and ‘t’ and not just an a.

230 - That one bit of sun on the TV
Most of us like the sun, and most of us like watching the TV. But often the two things don’t seem to combine well. Sat in a amply windowed room to watch something can cause problems that involve working out what the sun’s reflecting off, moving it, still having no luck, changing seats, dusting the TV. Sometimes nothing short of black out curtains will do the job.
